WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOL GROUPS AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE ROMANIAN PEASANT
We imagine, with and for children, ethnology lessons, painting, drawing, DIY, weaving, sewing, linocut and shadow play workshops. It is our way of transposing the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant into colors, sounds and events. Children, sometimes adults too, acquire knowledge about the village, the peasant, customs – of yesterday and today. Sometimes they also design “their hands”. They learn practical skills – the needle, the aracet are no longer names that make you think of beasts and dragons, but become simple tools to create worlds with different sounds, materials, colors and textures. Registrations are made by sending an email to atelieruldecreativitate@gmail.com. The request will include the following data: number of participants, age of participants, day or interval in which you wish to participate, the first three workshop options, the phone number of the person organizing the registration. Immediately after receiving the email, from Monday to Friday, we will contact you by email or phone, to communicate your availability for the activity you have opted for or to offer you alternatives. Requests are considered in the order of their arrival. Price of a workshop: 35 lei/participant. We continue, of course, the series of workshops for friends from NGOs, schools for atypical people, social centers, refugees, etc. Write to us at atelieruldecreativitate@gmail.com, we talk, to understand the needs of each group, and we organize workshops adapted to the participants.

Stamp making workshop using the linocut technique
Linocut is one of the easiest graphic techniques and involves a printing process that leads to the creation of several identical works. It is carved, with the help of chisels, into a linoleum material, and the proposed work is obtained by pressing and using special inks. The workshop is especially aimed at beginners: those who come into contact with this technique for the first time. In this workshop we will create small-sized works, which we can use as stamps to personalize different works. Maximum number of participants: 20 Duration: 1h 30 min Registrations on WhatsApp at the phone number: 0723.471.600
Felting spun wool using the soap and water technique
Ornaments: brooches, beads, braceletsSince ancient times, wool has been the basic material for making clothing, bags and suitcases, but also objects that beautify the home: carpets, rugs, wall hangings, towels, etc. At this workshop, we will also make friends with unspun wool. We will learn to shape it with the help of water and soap, transforming it into ornaments: brooches, beads, bracelets, good to give to loved ones or to match with your own clothing.Maximum number of participants: 25. Registrations on WhatsApp at the phone number: 0723.471.600
Felting spun wool using a felting needle
Brooches, figurines and flowers made of spun woolWe will use special felting needles to shape spun wool, transforming it into small soft and fluffy figurines, good to give to loved ones or to match with clothes in the form of brooches. Workshop dedicated to teenagers who want to make friends with wool and the felting needle. At the end of the workshop, the objects made can be taken home.Number of participants: 20. Workshop to make masks using the papier-mâché technique
We will imagine unseen worlds, never-before-seen beings, we will use our imagination, but also the proposed technique to give life to various characters from stories: clowns, elves, dragons, fairies and many others, captured in the features of a mask. To bring the characters of folk tales to life, we will first model the clay — our working base for creating the papier-mâché technique —, after which we will move on to the actual work of the mask. After the structure of the mask is ready, we will paint it using acrylic colors. The works made during the workshop can be taken home. Number of participants: 20. Registrations on WhatsApp at the phone number: 0723.471.600
Shadow theater workshop
At first, the children will learn what shadow play is, when and where it appeared: they will be told two legends that talk about the beginnings of shadow play. Then, based on a simple story, the children will move on to the actual work: they will be divided into teams and will work on the silhouettes representing the characters of the story. At the end, each team will perform a short theatrical performance: they will manipulate the newly constructed silhouettes on the panel and interpret the story proposed by the coordinator. Workshop dedicated to preschoolers over 5 years old, who know how to handle scissors, and schoolchildren of any age. Registrations on WhatsApp at the phone number: 0723.471.600
Paper dolls. Ileana and Prince Charming
Paper can tell many stories, it is the surface on which people have been scribbling, since ancient times, stories from graphic signs that lead to the formation of a word, sentences, phrases, stories. At the paper doll workshop we tell stories by modeling paper, which comes to life in various figurines, characters that populate Romanian fairy tales and snoaves. Stamped stories. Greeting cards to send to loved ones
Today, people use handwriting less and less to send messages to their loved ones. Letters and greetings are no longer "in fashion". But what a joy when, nevertheless, we find something else in the mailbox, besides invoices and other official notices! In this workshop we will create personalized stamps and use them to embellish the letters or greetings that we want to send to our loved ones. The workshop is aimed at preschoolers over 5 years old, who know how to handle scissors, and schoolchildren of any age. Registrations on WhatsApp at the phone number: 0723.471.600
Stamped Stories. Map of an Imaginary Village
Starting from old images from the archive, we will try to recreate, in our own way, the world of the Romanian village of old. We will observe different types of houses and settlements, the relief forms where the villages stretched, the animals that roamed through the yard of the house, the gardens full of flowers and vegetation, the people who animated the village, the church, the fiddlers... All of this will be placed in a large-scale work, with the help of stamps created and worked by the participants. The work will remain at the workshop or, in the case of a school group, it can be taken home. The workshop is aimed at schoolchildren over 8 years old. Duration. Maximum number of participants: 20. Registrations on WhatsApp at the phone number: 0723.471.600
Small skit printing workshop

Brooches and figurines made of cowhide
In this workshop we will learn a little bit about the ancient craft of braiding with dried herbs. Using bulrush or other dried herbs, we will learn to make figurines and floral objects that we will then transform into small brooches to wear on our chests, on clothes or in bags. Registrations on WhatsApp at the phone number: 0723.471.600
The playful needle
Using a needle, colored threads, beads and felt, we will make small ornaments to wear on the hand (bracelets), on the head (headbands), around the neck (necklaces) or on the chest (brooches). Storytelling – Like salt in food
We start with the story Like salt in food, how else?, in which we will imagine some royal menus. And a few ways to declare our love, of course. We will also imagine all kinds of năstrușnicii, from sarmale boiled in sugar syrup to spinach with honey, then we will draw the winning menus on a napkin or kitchen apron. Participation in this workshop is only possible with a full stomach! Venue: Creativity Workshop Duration: 1h 30 min Registration at atelieruldecreativitate@gmail.com
Fairytale – The Tree of Life
I'll start with a story from a long time ago. But if I replace the word "baobab" with "oak", you'll swear it's a silly story about friendship, greed, the power to give and how man reacts when angry. The tree, sorry, not the man. Then we'll walk through the museum and try to discover why the peasant considered trees so important that he imagined his own life as a tree. Then, we'll imagine our tree on a piece of canvas, to bring a patch of wall to life, according to the old custom. Venue: Creativity Workshop and permanent exhibition Duration: 1h 30 min Registration at atelieruldecreativitate@gmail.com
Storytelling – Sound Map
I will share a story "received" from a storyteller from England, Jem, at a busy intersection, at dusk, in Brașov. A story about sounds and noise and about being different. Then we will try to figure out how sounds act on the body, emotions, thoughts. We will frolic through busy intersections, fields and forests, construction sites, beehives, oceans and playgrounds, grandparents' houses or through some child's playroom, in our workshop. We will notice what makes us happy, what "upsets" us, what shakes us, what hurts us from the unseen, but so present, world of sounds. Then, each one will experience the peace of making a map of good sounds. Let it be there, when there is too much noise surrounding us. PS: Be careful with what tone you suggest children come to this workshop. Neither too dramatic, nor too serious, nor too authoritarian, you know...Registrations at atelieruldecreativitate@gmail.com
Personal museum
Could the headphones, the bracelet from the concert 3 years ago or the scooter you ride to school with be part of a museum collection? A personal one or one that will last a generation or two? A local museum or a national one, or even a universal one?! But the mask, the stones collected from everywhere and the sweatshirt with the sleeves frayed, that you can't bear to throw away? Or the stuffed toy hidden well, because you're grown up, but still, ungiveable? What do the objects have to convey? And what stories would they tell, if they could talk? Who would they want to sit next to, what kind of label would they want to wear and on what poster? Come on, bring two objects that you love (or hate) to the museum, let's make them famous for an hour or two. You leave with them back home, but also with many stories about connections, resources, people from everywhere and at any time, about emotions, about being or not being original and so on. Plus the answers to the questions above. Or with many other questions? Venue: Creativity Workshop and permanent exhibition. Registrations at atelieruldecreativitate@gmail.com
Workshop to tame a museum
Another day wasted at a museum: I don't understand anything, I don't hear what's being said, I don't feel like reading what's written on the walls, my legs hurt! Frustration, boredom, fatigue. This is what you think can happen to you for an hour. But what would it be like to experience this for two hours? Three days? A month? A lifetime? Anywhere?
Come to a workshop where you can help me transform at least the "museum" into something that can be seen, heard, experienced. First, we will discover, on our own skin, what are the physical or intellectual limits of different people in accessing the exhibition, then we will divide into several groups and try to give meaning to one object or another for a person who cannot see or hear or understand.
The workshop is aimed at high school students and adults, poets, painters, computer scientists, corporate professionals, specialists in tik-tok and the latest gadgets, and I will use the materials resulting from this workshop to create a specialized tour, adapted to people with special needs.

Recording Devices I: Video Diary (Autofiction)
The workshop is aimed at teenagers interested in autobiographical, memoiristic or autofiction writing in visual form. Starting from a visit to the museum, participants will choose an object, a room or a detail of the museum that they will connect with a personal experience. In the first part of the workshop, they will write a short narrative text in the first person in which they will describe their associated experience, and in the second part, they will make, with their own phones, a video clip filmed in the museum. The text written in the first part of the workshop will then be recorded and coupled with the video material, resulting in a video diary that puts personal life in dialogue with the story of the museum. The workshop thus proposes a contemporary form of bringing heritage closer to the everyday languages and technologies of teenagers.
We will provide materials from which teenagers can draw inspiration for their own texts/videos.

Recording Devices II: video essay (autotheory)
The workshop is aimed at people interested in theoretical thinking, visual/museum art and self-reflective writing. Starting from the concept of device, we will explore how personal experience is always mediated by images, frames, languages and forms of interpretation. Starting from a visit to the museum, participants will choose an object, a room or a detail of the museum that they will relate to a question or a personal reflection on the proposed concept. In the first part of the workshop they will write a short auto-theoretical text, and in the second they will make, with their own phones, a video filmed in the museum. The text written in the first part of the workshop will then be recorded and coupled with the video material, resulting in an exercise in visual and conceptual reflection that puts their own experience, theory and the story of the museum into dialogue.
We will provide materials from which participants can draw inspiration for their own texts/videos.
