National Museum of the Romanian Peasant

From April 10 to 13, the museum will be closed to the public, except for activities in the Peasant Club, which will operate as follows:

    Monday and Tuesday: closed.

  • It is open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 18:00. It is closed on Mondays.

  • Entrance tickets to the permanent exhibition, temporary exhibitions, fairs organized by the Museum and other temporary activities:

    Adults – 20 lei / visitor (valid for a whole day, at all exhibitions)

    Pensioners – 10 lei / visitor (valid for a whole day, at all exhibitions)

    Students and students holding "Euro 26" cards up to 30 years old, adults with moderate or mild disabilities benefit from a 75% discount on museum tickets – 5 lei / visitor

  • Photography / filming with professional cameras, in exhibitions, in the Gallery of Peasant Art or in the courtyard of the Museum: 400 lei/visitor/hour (but not less than 400 lei)

    For the production of news and press releases regarding the activities of the Museum, journalists are exempt from paying fees.
    Filming / filming for commercial or documentary purposes of goods, which are part of the national movable patrimony, which are in public property of the state, can be carried out only with the written consent of the holder of the administration right (namely, the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant) on a contractual basis, as well as in compliance with the provisions of Law no. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights, with subsequent amendments and supplements.

  • Price of a workshop: 35 lei / person. Companions, people with special needs and social cases are free.

    Guide fee on request (sent at least 48 hours in advance):

    100 lei / visitor (in foreign languages)

    200 lei / group of 4 – 20 visitors (in Romanian)

    400 lei / group of 4 – 20 visitors (in foreign languages)

  • – for employees of the museum network, the Ministry of Culture and the decentralized services of the Ministry of Culture, as well as for members of ICOM and ICOMOS;

    – for former political prisoners (by the dictatorship established starting from March 6, 1945), revolutionaries from 1989, war veterans;

    – for tour guides accredited under the terms of Government Decree no. 305/2001;

    – for preschool and primary school children;

    – for children up to 18 years of age, who have special needs or are disabled and for those to whom social protection measures are applied;

    – for children up to 18 years of age, during the holidays;

    – for ethnic Romanian pupils and students from outside the country, scholarship holders of the Romanian state;

    – for holders of “Euro 26” cards, up to 30 years of age, access is free for each 26th of each month, when it does not fall on a day when the institution is closed to the public; on the immediately following working day of the month, if the 26th falls on a day when the institution is closed to the public;

    – for adults with serious or severe disabilities, students from special schools, accompanying a disabled child up to 18 years of age or accompanying an adult with serious or severe disabilities;

    – for pensioners, on October 1;

    – for other categories established by the main authorizing officer.

    - Holders of ID cards issued by the Ministry of Culture, which grant pensioners free admission to cultural events organized by institutions subordinate to the Ministry, are admitted, within the limit of four seats/performance, only to events organized directly by the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant.
